With franking machines the user inputs the correct postage rates into the machine. The postal scales in our range come from Salter and Wedo which are well established brands among scales manufacturers. You can choose from compact letter or small parcel scales which hold up to 10 kg and have increments ranging from 1g to 100g. We also provide larger postal scales which are ideal for large parcel and heavier items – such scales can hold up to a maximum of 2500 kg and have 100g increments. 

How to accurately weigh your post or parcel 

• Like every product, when buying a postal scales always read the manufacturer’s instructions. 

• Always place the postal scales on a level steady surface. 

• Hit the on button and wait for the scales to warm up, generally the scales are ready when it registers as zero. 

• Put the item on the scales and record the weight 

• Consult with An Post or your courier to determine the charges for your particular weight (you may also be required to measure the item.)
