One of the most common questions we get asked is what do the staple sizes mean? Sizes for staples are generally read as wire gauge/shank length (leg size). Typically the lower the wire gauge no. the thicker the staple is, for example a 24/6 would be thicker than 26/6. When you see the reference 24/6 the 6 refers to the leg size or shank length so the higher the size the longer the leg for example 24/8 would have a longer leg size than 24/6.
