Been using and still am using sponge dampers. Some old folks like me will always find uses for them. I have found the Laufer brand to be good over the years. The sponge in them seems to be of a higher quality and hold the moisture better than another brand I tried before. Also the other thing form a user point of view is the container edge feels smooth. When you are using these dampers a lot the last thing you want is an uncomfortable edge that could hurt you.
